Sleep and Turbo Charged Reading, sleep and caffeine

Photo taken by M'reen

When Turbo Charged Reading,
particularly technical or academic material, reports or white papers,
or anything that is, say, ten or more pages long such as a Shakespeare’s play or book of sonnets
then other than when reading a novel, it is best to give your growing neurons time to nurture
the material you have TCR into your innermind at least 20 minutes but preferably overnight
to catalogue the material TCR, cross reference it with what is already
in your vast storehouse of information and collate the information you need for the morning.
This ‘sleeping-on-the-problem’ is a well recognised product of giving
your mind an instruction and it following through.
Sleeping on the information is a great memory aid and so a boost to your confidence as your performance in meetings is enhanced as you are have a full store of information at your finger tips.

Rather than HAVE TO read-yourself-to-sleep why not read around what is preventing you
from having the necessary sleep your body and mind needs?

Q:  Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can  prolong life.  Is this true?
A: Heart  only good for so many beats, and that it...
Don't waste on exercise.  Everything wear out eventually.
Speeding up heart not make you live longer;
it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster.
Want to live longer?  Take nap.

Dr. Travis Bradberry
The Ugly: Sleep
When you sleep, your brain literally recharges, shuffling through the day’s memories
and storing or discarding them (which causes dreams), so that you wake up alert and clear-headed.
Your self-control, focus, memory, and information processing speed are all reduced
when you don’t get enough—or the right kind—of sleep.
Your brain is very fickle when it comes to sleep.
For you to wake up feeling rested, your brain needs to move through an elaborate series of cycles. You can help this process along and improve the quality of your sleep
by reducing your caffeine intake.
Here’s why you’ll want to: caffeine has a six-hour half-life,
which means it takes a full twenty-four hours to work its way out of your system.
Have a cup of joe at eight a.m., and you’ll still have 25% of the caffeine in your body at eight p.m. Anything you drink after noon will still be at 50% strength at bedtime. Any caffeine in your bloodstream—with the negative effects increasing with the dose—makes it harder to fall asleep.
When you do finally fall asleep, the worst is yet to come. Caffeine disrupts the quality of your sleep
by reducing rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, the deep sleep when your body recuperates
and processes emotions. When caffeine disrupts your sleep, you wake up the next day
with an emotional handicap. You’re naturally going to be inclined to grab a cup of coffee
or an energy drink to try to make yourself feel better. The caffeine produces surges of adrenaline, which further your emotional handicap. Caffeine and lack of sleep leave you feeling tired in the afternoon, so you drink more caffeine, which leaves even more of it in your bloodstream at bedtime. Caffeine very quickly creates a vicious cycle.

Withdrawal
Like any stimulant, caffeine is physiologically and psychologically addictive. If you do choose to lower your caffeine intake, you should do so slowly under the guidance of a qualified medical professional. The researchers at Johns Hopkins found that caffeine withdrawal causes headache, fatigue, sleepiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people report feeling flu-like symptoms, depression, and anxiety after reducing intake by as little as one cup a day. Slowly tapering your caffeine dosage each day can greatly reduce these withdrawal symptoms.

Who cares that this has nothing to do with Turbo Charged Reading?

This has got nothing to do with Turbo Charged Reading – but who cares? I love reading and I love hummingbirds, and have fond and funny memories about them fighting round the feeder on our deck in Colorado Springs CO. A female Amethyst-throated Sunangel (Heliangelus amethysticollis) sleeps in Peru. EDIT: Alright, Thank you Reddit for blowing this up. Lets clear a few things up here. The bird is in a container that is attached to machines that measure how much oxygen the bird is consuming. The noise you are hearing is the hum of the machines in the background (the main one being the FoxBox...http://www.sablesys.com/products-prod...). The noise is actually a lot more quiet than it seems, for whatever reason my camera picked it up and made it sound a lot louder. This experiment was performed with the guidance and supervision of some of the top experts in tropical ornithology. The investigation was fully permitted and performed in a world renowned research facility. This bird was not harmed whatsoever, it was fed with sugar water throughout the experiment and was released safely. All of the hummingbirds measured like this consumed a very low amount of oxygen at a very stable level as compared to other, larger birds, which suggests that they were in torpor, or a state close to torpor. After the experiment was done, I watched the bird fly away myself, it was fine. And yes, I know it may not actually be snoring. Even the supervisors of the project are unsure why it is making that noise. I have asked them to look into it since this video has received so much attention. I have been studying ornithology for years and am currently a Masters student studying birds. The welfare of birds means the world to me, and I am dedicating my career to their conservation. EDIT #2 (2-Mar-2012): It's likely that this bird is in the early stages of arousal from deep torpor after disturbance. The gaping of the bill might be a way to breath deeply and bring in plenty of oxygen. When they are disturbed in torpor, they try to warm up as quickly as possible and that involves intense shivering. But initially, they are too cold for high-speed muscle action so it's hard to see the shivering movements. The high pitched squeaking sound it is making is likely a cute side-effect of the gaping for oxygen. see pictures of hummingbirds from this project: http://s1152.photobucket.com/albums/p...

Turbo Charged Reading and Emotions

When you have to read a book you really dislike or are not interested in; giving your mind the instruction to learn enough for a particular exam might not be desirable to you or to be believable to your innermind. If this is the case your innermind is going to follow your belief and make learning very difficult. However there are ways around this by finding something that is acceptable to your innermind. The major hindrances to Turbo Charged Reading are: Procrastination, Confidence, Habit & Over Expectation and of Creating believable Mind Instructions. All of these are covered in the TCR programme and all these skills can be used to enhance your everyday life. Not only might you e.g. TCR a great many self development books in a short amount of time and gain that advantage but during the course you will learn simple and effective energy skills that you can use in the moment anywhere you happen to be throughout your day.

Mind maps will form the first and last layer of learning and memorising the material you read.

Mind maps will form the first and last layer of learning and memorising the material you read.
Written By M'reen

Mind maps form the first and last layer of learning and memorising the material you read.
First they establish the method and sequence of TCR
and consolidating all aspects of your purpose for reading your paper or electronic data
finally they form one of the methods of bringing the information back out of your innermind
and into your working consciousness.

Mind maps may take the form of mind maps, business process mapping, bullet points
or your combination of methods as different people and different information lends itself
to different ways of storing that material in a compact and accessible form for you.

The first level Turbo Charged Reading mind maps take the form of Mind Trees.

The first one has a trunk sat in soil named Physical Set Up
This trunk has three main branches.
The first one is labelled Book with 7 twigs.
The second is labelled Environment with 2 twigs.
The third is labelled Body with 3 twigs.
Following this ‘road map’ you will create the physical environment for TCR
and you will prepare your body for TCR,
this important time will take you a couple of minutes.

The First Branch of the first Mind Tree ‘Book’ has seven twigs.
The point is to be able to follow this sequence with the same familiarity
as you tie your shoe laces or any other learned sequence without thought.
You have internalised this and are ready for the next Success Level when you can remember about:
Your Purpose for Choosing a Book (Success Level 2 of the TCR programme)
How to Choose a Book (Success Level 2)
How to Prepare the Spine of your Book (Success Level 2)
How to Turn Pages (Success Level 2)
How to Write your Purpose (Success Level 2)
How to write a Mind Instruction (Success Level 2)
How to write a Closing Statement with a Mind Instruction (Success Level 5 of 5)

The Second Branch ‘Environment’ and its 2 twigs.
How to sit at a table when reading many books in one day. (Success Level 3)
Equipment. (Success Level 2)
Perhaps you’ve never thought of preparing your body and mind for reading?

The Third Branch ‘Body’ and its 3 twigs.
Oxygenate your body. (Success Level 3)
Balance your left and right brains. (Success Level 3)
Balance your top and bottom brains. (Success Level 3)

Please remember that this preparation will take you a couple of minutes,
a very important couple of minutes that can be used for your benefit
in all ‘office’ or computer situations that will enhance your performance,
your emotional freshness and your physical health.

Now your challenge is to draw your own Mind Tree
and explain what all those twigs mean in detail
and once you can do this, then you’ve completed this stage of TCR
and are ready for the Turbo Charged Reading Success Level 3 of 5.
M’reen

All the written material is in an MP3s format for TCR students who prefer to listen to the course
as this is an efficient use of their time or they find each word reading to be difficult for some reason.

Success Level 1 ?
That is an introduction to the course and has some impressive Gremlin Taming
techniques that I have created for your use and these MP3s deal with any saboteurs that try
and get in the way of your success in whatever it is that you do in your personal and business life.

What Is Turbo Charged Reading and who will benefit from using this natural ability?

What Is Turbo Charged Reading
and who will benefit from using this natural ability?
Written By M'reen

In short it is reading in the way your mind is designed to read.
Which is not the way you are probably reading now – that is each word reading.

The top of the tree example is: a PhD student poured 20,000 pages into his innermind in a week,
it took his innermind a further week to catalogue, collate and bring forth the specific information
he needed for his thesis' which he completed by week three !
It can take some people three weeks to read one book!

How much an hour do you charge for your services?
Therefore it costs you that much to each word read.
And how much of what you have read do you remember?
And how much of that do you retain for your long term use?

When Turbo Charged Reading
you fuel your body with oxygen,
you put your right and left brains into gear,
and you switch on a sat nav  that actually works – your mind
and you then get out of the way as you let your auto self drive take over.
Slow reading really is having someone walk in front of you with a red flag!
At the end of this stage all the information read is in your innermind
and your brain starts producing new information pathways
and it needs some quiet time to do this.
This is like putting money in the bank that is gaining real interest.
You have already decided upon your withdrawal sequence when you banked the information
and now is the time to withdraw that information into your conscious awareness.
This can be done in a variety of ways that suits you best.
Should you wish to make further withdrawals then you submit another withdrawal slip
being as creative as someone avoiding paying their tax.

These simple, natural steps use your body, mind and energy systems
and if any of those words seem unrealistic when applied to reading please stay with me
as I carefully explain over the next few blogs how all this ties together and will work for you.

Expressed differently you prepare your body, mind and energy
to let the printed word on paper or electronic devices
bypass your eyes and conscious mind with its gremlins
and go straight into you innermind
where you can choose to trigger it deliberately or it maybe it will pop up spontaneously.
I was unaware that I had a star map in my innermind until I went to live in Colorado Springs. CO. USA
and spontaneously found that the star map was all wrong! When I went on holiday to Providecialis,
a British Protectorate in the West Indies, the stars had moved again.

As a beginning reader you had to go through a lot of processes in order to decipher
the squiggles on the paper. Now that you have mastered that in your familiar languages and context
you no longer need to repeat those processes when TCR as you just use them.
Rather in the same way that you no longer need to double de-clutch to change a car’s gears
as modern technology enables you to simply employ the auto mode
and ‘get out of the way’ as the car selects the optimum gear.

Who will benefit from Turbo Charged Reading?

Anyone of any age who can read with comprehension.
For example I couldn’t slow or TCR read a book on Rugby as I don’t understand the positions
or plays. People who have recently learned how to TCR forget this and become disillusioned
when reading material out of their knowledge range. They forget that that familiarity will take
just a little more time to accommodate than material from their professional arena.
However, rather like my star then that information will be absorbed.
Back to Rugby, I could read in a sports area with which I’m familiar in my expected time frame,
but with the Rugby I’d just have to take a side step and TRC a ‘dictionary of Rugby terms’
before reading, what for me would be, a more advanced book.

People who are dyslexic.
This is a term that means so very many different things at different degrees of severity.
I am a little dyslexic, but not when it comes to reading. I just do things that are incomprehensible
even to myself; some of which have long impressive names according to the specialists.
A dyslexic person can speak, remember and do all that good stuff
and TCR is so fast that the printed word doesn't have time to cause problems
as it goes directly into the innermind to be processed.

People with a poor memory.
I am assured from others that people who have to have a letter from their Doctor
allowing them extra time in exams find that after TCR for a time period
that such an extension is no longer necessary.

People who are slow readers.
Such people often don’t finish reading a book as they get bored.
When TCR, the process is so fast that I TCR my first novel at seven times faster
than when slow each-word reading and reading a novel is the slowest way to TCR.
Non-fiction books simply zip by and at the end of reading you have either a working knowledge
of the book or a very detailed knowledge depending entirely upon your pre-determined needs.
At first you can take around half an hour to read with a working knowledge level
a non-fiction book of 2-300 pages.

All the text in my 5 TCR success levels is also presented as MP3 audio recordings;
therefore people who have problems reading can easily gain this material
and also people can listen in addition to reading and so consolidate their background knowledge.
In addition I have produced some Gremlin Taming MP3s using my skills as a hypno/energy therapist
and these are available to those who wish to  take advantage of this facility
to deal with any saboteurs that try and get in the way of your success
in your personal and business life.
